White Ruched Quilt

I have been searching for a new quilt cover for our bedroom and have fallen in love with the ruched look. I have been collecting pictures for inspiration but that is all they are as the price tag is quite hefty for one of these lovelies.

My Dad is flying over to take the journey with us through the Rockies so I thought I would check out the latest Target catalogue (oh how I miss Target) and look what I found.....!!!!!!

You can't believe how excited I am, you get the quilt cover two pillow shams and two euro shams all for $70!  As soon as I saw it I called Dad to see if he could go to Target first thing in the morning to buy one for me.  So keep your fingers crossed they still have one available.  I will let you know how it all goes.

Modern Country

I have to say that one of my favourite design styles is Modern Country, I love the casual but slightly refined take on country interiors. I am not one for lots of clutter so modern country lets me still have some of my favourite pieces on display without it being over the top. To mix a modern square line sofa with a distressed coffee table and big comfy chair really appeals to me.

I Just wanted to share with you some images of where we are moving to. Have a great weekend and enjoy.

The Home Office

As we are on the move again I have been looking at some of my old photo's for inspiration for the home office. I have no idea what size or shape our new office will be but I do know that it has to change from what we have now. My other half gets all of his work via computer at home and I have two monitors on the go a left over from our furniture store but when I look at the office's you see in the magazines you never see a desktop computer they always have a laptop or a Mac. I have harassed my other half to no end about all the wires required to keep our home network going, to be told there is nothing he can do. Do anyone else in blog land have the same problem or do you all have laptops? My dream computer would be a Mac but that is certainly a few years away and who knows what will be available by then, anyway these are my inspiration!

It's Been A While

Hi guy's I know it's been a while but with moving and cleaning the old house I have been really busy. We have been in the new house only 3 weeks and my other half came home on Wednesday to tell me that he is being transferred. I don't believe it we only just got rid of our packing boxes on Tuesday. I think we must have Gypsy in our blood as this will be our third move in just over a year.

I was planning on posting some pics of the new house but I guess that is pointless as we won't be here long enough for me to do anything to it. We are moving to a small country town and I am a city girl so this could be very interesting. I have been looking up pics on the Internet and it looks like a nice place to live and the scenery is spectacular....just a bit worried about the bears...lol

My girls are ok with the idea of moving again as my youngest would have been starting a new school this year anyway, my eldest daughter is not so keen as she is in her final year and is worried about what courses they will have available.

Anyway the hunt is on again for a new rental, I will keep you up to date with how it all goes.
